FMGE Exam 2024 New Format

In the upcoming FMGE exam, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has introduced a new format. While there are no major changes to the overall structure of the exam, such as the number of questions, duration, syllabus, or parts, a significant change has been made regarding the implementation of time-bound sections for each part of the questions.

In the FMGE exam 2024, each part of the paper, comprising 150 questions, has been subdivided into 3 sections – Section A, B, and C. With 50 questions allocated to each section and 50 minutes allotted for each section, the exam’s total duration sums to 300 minutes. While the total number of questions and parts remains unchanged, this new structure allows for better time management and focus, ensuring candidates have adequate time to complete each section within the stipulated time frame.

Below is the FMGE exam 2024 new pattern in detail:

  • Total questions: 300
  • Total parts: 2
  • Questions for each part: 150
  • Each part is subdivided into 3 sections
  • Total sections: 6
  • Allocated time for each section: 50 minutes
  • Total time for FMGE exam: 300 minutes

Candidates are restricted from proceeding from one section to another until the completion of the allotted time for the previous section. Furthermore, candidates are not permitted to review the questions or modify their responses in a section after the allotted time of the section. The questions of the next section will automatically commence following the completion of the allotted time for the previous section.
