Module 1: Foundations of Neonatology & Resuscitation

Adaptation to extrauterine life, birth assessments, NRP certification, APGAR scoring, and golden-hour management.

Module 2: Respiratory Support & Critical Care

RDS management, CPAP/HFNC use, SIMV, HFOV ventilation, pulmonary hypertension treatment, and apnea protocols.

Module 3: Neonatal Infections & Immune Care

Sepsis protocols, TORCH screening, fungal/viral infection control, NICU antimicrobial stewardship.

Module 4: Nutrition & Metabolic Disorders

Enteral and parenteral nutrition, TPN monitoring, breastfeeding support, metabolic monitoring, and growth optimization. .

Module 5: Neurology & Long-Term Follow-Up

Neonatal seizures, HIE therapy, IVH/PVL monitoring, neurodevelopmental screening, and early intervention.

Module 6: Procedures & Neonatal Research

Umbilical catheterization, exchange transfusion, POCUS, neonatal ethics, and QI-based research projects.

Certificate

Candidates will be awarded a certificate of completion by the CPD Standards Office, British Accreditation Council, on successful completion of the Neonatology observership program.
